Real Madrid have enjoyed the domination in Europe for three consecutive years but the celebrations have been muzzled due to the several talks of departing players.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale, both expressed their possibility of leaving the club right after winning the UEFA Champions League trophy in Kiev.
Many other Real Madrid players are rumored to leave such as Mateo Kovacic, Dani Ceballos, and Isco. Though none of the mentioned names have spoken about it publically as of now but not Borja Mayoral. The Castilla graduate now fancies more playing time and seeks an exit for a club where he can gain crucial experience while developing his confidence.
The reports from Spanish news outlet AS, claim the 21-year-old will be leaving Real Madrid to join another La Liga side Real Betis, who wish to acquire a player with such characteristics. The Champions League winner would cost the Sevilla club 10 million euros.
Reports such as mucho deporte, also claim the transfer is likely to happen before Real Madrid announce their new coach. Mayoral too is comfortable with this as Betis is a promising club and he knows that even under the new coach he will not be able to play much. The deal is said to be for 5 years with an option to buy back which can be triggered in any year of the mentioned period as per the wish of Real Madrid.
Mayoral recently answered the rumors of joining Real Betis on his Instagram account which pretty much indicates towards an exit from the Spanish capital club.
“Real Betis? I knew you were going to ask me this. They’re a good team with a great coach but I have a contract with Real Madrid and we’ll see what happens with the new manager.”
