The nerve-wracking game between the two European sides ended in a 2-2 draw which made Real Madrid the worthy contenders to qualify on the aggregate score of 4-3.

There was speculation cry regarding a denied penalty of handball from Real Madrid left-back Marcelo, in the dying minutes of first half.

Bayern Munchen captain Thomas Muller made no excuses for the elimination of Bayern in the semifinals against Real Madrid last night and snubbed the talk of speculation.

“We played a lot better than in the first leg.”

“The referee did a good job, we did not lose because of him, Keylor Navas was great, he saved Real Madrid many times.”

In the past 5 years, Bayern Munchen have found themselves struggling against the Spanish teams and were disqualified by Atletico Madrid, Barcelona and Real Madrid in the final rounds of the competition.

Real Madrid now head to Kiev on 26th May 2018 where they will play the second finalist from the tie between AS Roma and Liverpool.

AS Roma welcome Liverpool to their home ground tonight while trying to overcome the 5-2 deficit from the first leg. The second semifinal will be telecasted all around the world by the official broadcasters. The kick off is scheduled at 7:45 PM CET, on Wednesday, 2nd May 2018.
